The Backstory
Alan Michael Toney, originally from Memphis, TN, has had a passion for the performing arts since he was very young. He was always expressing his artistic self either through singing, drawing, or playing pretend with his toys. He fostered his inner artist by later getting involved in theatre in high school.
He went on to get his Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he not only excelled in the School of Communication Studies but made his professional theatre debut at The Clarence Brown Theatre on the UT-Knoxville campus.
Alan went on to pursue his Master of Fine Arts in Acting at the University of Florida’s School of Theatre and Dance. During his time he was able to both perform in and direct plays, as well as teach theory and technique both inside and outside of the university.
He is excited to pursue his craft and build his career as a professional actor, director, teacher, and creative.
